Clinical Management opportunity! Join a well established and well respected Homecare company offering Medicare-certified and Behavioral Health homecare services to patients throughout CT. Their Hartford area location is the largest in the state, with a patient census of over 1100. The management team has been together for more than a decade. They are very experienced and collaborative. We seek someone who is eager to make a positive contribution to the team.
Each Clinical Supervisor manages the care of 90 patients and we seek TWO supervisors: one for Medical care and one for Behavioral Health care. One Supervisor is a new position and the other one is available due to an impending retirement.
The State of CT mandates the following REQUIREMENTS:
A Supervisor of Clinical Services shall be a registered nurse (RN) with an active license to practice nursing in CT and shall have one of the following:
A master’s degree from a program approved by the National League for Nursing or the American Public Health Association with a minimum of one (1) year full-time clinical experience in a home health agency or related community health program which included care of the sick at home –OR-
A baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) and a minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience in nursing, at least one (1) of which was in a home health agency or related community health program which included care of the sick at home –OR-
A registered nurse (RN) who has been continuously employed in the position of Supervisor of Clinical Services in a home health agency in this state since January 1, 1979 –OR-
A diploma in nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing -AND-
(a) A minimum of three (3) years of full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past five (5) years, at least one (1) year of which was in a home health care agency or community health program which included care of the sick at home AND
(b) Evidence of certification of the American Nurses’ Association as a community health nurse OR completion of at least six credits received within two (2) years in community health nursing theory OR six credits in health care management from an accredited college or university program or school of nursing.
Knowledge of State, Medicare, Medicaid and JCAHO guidelines and the application of knowledge in daily operations and management of team.
Valid driver’s license.
